It's time to strut your stuff!! We want to see what you got, whether it be wedding, portraits, illustrative or commercial images.
PPC's goal is to help you create better images so you can make more money.

Our June meeting will have two parts; the first part we will discuss PPA Print Competitions, why you should enter, the 12 elements of a good print, and what the rules are for entering. The second phase of this meeting will be to critique images so everyone can learn. The goal will be to help each member improve their photographic skills either by impact, cropping, lighting or color management to name a few areas.

Our judges for this event will be PPC members who are Master Photographers. They have earned their PPA Photographic Masters Degree and are experienced in print competition.

Many PPC members are afraid to take that first step by showing their work and entering print competitions. Here's your chance to have your images reviewed anonymously, gently and constructively. You will want to take notes, learn corrective actions, what works and what does not work for print competitions and make those changes if need be.

We then encourage you to take that next step and enter your images in print competition at the PPC Fall Conference, September 25-28, 2009. There will be a panel of 5 judges who will judge & score your images using PPA Affiliate Judging rules. Images scoring 80 points or above are eligible for print awards. A state level print competition like the one this fall will help you prepare for the regional level competition where your 80 and higher scores can earn you print Merit "Seal of Approvals". A print receiving a "Seal of Approval" from a regional print competition can then be submitted to the PPA International Print Competition. Receiving print Merits is how you can earn your own PPA Master of Photography Degree.

Submit up to 5 digital JPG images on a CD for review, 8x10 in size at 300ppi (resolution). Your studio or your name should NOT be visible on your images to be reviewed.

This event is intended to be educational and helpful to PPC members. We hope to encourage to you to enter your images at any upcoming print competition with confidence and a sense of perspective on print competitions.
