In January, 1999, the PPC Board of Directors
adopted a new degree program. The new degree program
includes the following: Colorado Service Fellowship
of Photography (S.F.) and Colorado Educational Fellowship
of Photography (E.F.) and the Colorado Photographic Fellowship
of Photography (P.F.).
In setting up the Fellowship Program, the
Professional Photographers of Colorado Association was
seeking a means of rewarding those who have served the
membership and given freely of their time. It would
also encourage those in the membership who are always
willing to help to continue to do so.
A review committee consisting of Fellowship
chairperson(s) current and past Fellowship recipients
has been established to review the Degree applications
to help with merits toward Fellowships. The primary
resource for doing this will be you submitting the Fellowship
Degree application at each event.

Professional Photographers of Colorado
(PPC) Degree Program is part of the Progressive Steps
of Education offered to PPC members in all specialties
and levels of proficiency.
Merits can be earned toward degrees; three
degrees can be earned by accumulating the correct number
and types of merits. Degree holders can be recognized
by the appropriate medal to be worn at all PPA sponsored
events. Merits are recorded and kept on file in
each active member’s computer record at PPC to
accumulate toward a degree.
The merit system and degree program are
designed to encourage, recognize and reward those who
demonstrate outstanding imaging skills and provide service
and education to the profession. The program helps
affiliate organizations attract program talent and encourages
the individual to learn and achieve. Only PPC members
will be awarded merits, and only specified merits can
be applied toward a degree.
Prior to applying for one of the PPC Degrees,
the degree applicant must have accumulated 30 merits
and have been a PPC Active, Life or Sustaining member
for thirty-six (36) or more consecutive months prior
to making application for the degree.
