"Painterly Storytelling Imagery" is an immersive workshop where we delve into the art of visual story telling and refine your post-processing abilities. You’ll learn Amber’s step-by-step portrait capturing process from start to finish. We'll delve into the intricacies of lighting, composition, props, wardrobe and posing-exploring how these elements can be manipulated to evoke specific emotions and convey your intended story.

Following the capture of your storytelling images, we'll transition to the digital darkroom, where the magic happens. We will delve into advanced post-processing techniques using Photoshop. Amber will guide you through advanced skin retouching, color grading, painterly touches, and adding depth & dimension to your images. You'll learn how to breathe life into your images and elevate them to new heights of visual storytelling. Through this step-by-step demonstration and personalized guidance, you'll gain the skills and confidence to transform your vision into captivating photographic narratives. Whether you're a beginner or seeking to refine your skills, this workshop provides a comprehensive exploration of storytelling and post-processing to elevate your photography.

Amber started her business in 2016 after the birth of her oldest daughter.  She's spent tens of thousands of hours elevating her craft and now her passion is educating fellow photographers.  She is proud to represent Team USA for the World Photographic Cup 2024. She is also a PPA Master Photographer, PPA Photographic Craftsman, ICON Associate, TPPA Associate Fellow, and DPPA Associate Fellow.
