How many stories can be found in the street? Join intrepid local street photographer, Kenneth Wajda (ColoradoFaces.com), in learning street photography and how to find and document the stories found in public places. Kenneth will share his tips on how to both go unnoticed when photographing and also how to approach strangers for street portraits. He will discuss street photography habits including being prepared for any photo-worthy moment.​

This workshop will begin with a session on the history of street photography and a show of his work. Then Kenneth will introduce his working techniques. The workshop will then continue outside in downtown Denver for a photo walk. After a break for lunch, the workshop returns to the classroom for inputting of the day's photographs and  a review and critique session.

Workshop participants will overcome fearful feelings about photographing strangers and learn how to become both a very obvious joyful tourist as well as a completely incognito stealth photographer making street photographs everywhere they go.Kenneth Wajda has been an editorial and commercial photographer for over 35 years and has photographed various people from little leaguers to U.S. Presidents. He started his career as a staff photographer for a daily newspaper in New Jersey's capitol city before moving out to Colorado.

When he's between commercial or editorial assignments in cities across the U.S., he takes to the street and looks for stories that are waiting to be found, moments that need to be documented, and pictures that have to be made. Often made unnoticed without interrupting the scene, and other times with full collaboration for street portraits, Kenneth said there’s something satisfying about going out with no photograph in mind, no subject at the ready, and just seeking the stories of the street.
