Aim For YOUR Top: 2024 Image Competition Details

PPC is proud to announce the 2024 Image Competition Dates, Rules & Categories!

This year we have revamped our rules, our categories, and our program to be the most educational program we can make it! We hope you join us for this spectacular event, start to finish!

Let's start with a message from PPC about our Annual Image Competition: Since 1961 the Professional Photographers of Colorado has stood for advancement of professional photography, excellence in education and camaraderie within its membership. Along with the ongoing pursuit of outstanding programing, PPC has created an excellent opportunity for members to better their craft through image competition and feedback from veteran photographers from the association and as well as outside of the association.

Striving for the best platform for PPC members to learn to enhance their imagery, the yearly image competition was created and designed for all members to take advantage of and learn from this hands-on experience and processes with creating and producing excellent imagery. Rewarding members with trophies and recognition for their fine work is just one of the benefits of competing with your peers at this professional level.

That being said, the driving force behind image competition is and always will be the education and experience one garners for entering the competition. Trophies and awards are always welcomed and appreciated. But it is the priceless knowledge gained from competing and receiving critiques that lasts the length of one’s career. Over time trophies will tarnish, excellence in imaging shines eternal. We hope you take this opportunity for advancing your craft with our Annual Image Competition!

Join us in September for a roundtable discussion on our upcoming events with our Annual Image Competition. There will be a Q&A with hosts Jeff Johnson and Rick Avalos. This meeting will be hosted on zoom but PPC will be hosting a southern Denver area watch party for those who can attend in person.
