Let’s be honest, running a business is not the most exciting part of being a photographer. However, without a good understanding of business, we are certainly doomed to failure. The list of business tasks is endless: taxes, insurance, websites, marketing, emails, and social media.
Fortunately, you don’t need to start from scratch. Troy, Marjorie, and Kiera are here to help guide you.
Learn how to turn your passion for photography into a profitable career. Troy will cover everything from pricing and contracts to marketing, websites, and branding. You’ll leave the workshop with a solid understanding of the industry and the skills you need to succeed, as well as a solid start on your own personal brand voice, contracts, pricing, and website direction.
This is a hands-on workshop with Troy, his wife Marjorie, and their daughter Kiera. Troy will discuss all aspects of the business, while Marjorie will address marketing, sales, and client relations. Kiera, as a graphic designer and production manager for a large, internationally distributed journal, will address websites, branding, and brand voice. Be prepared to take lots of notes, ask questions, show your website, and discuss any other business materials.
This workshop is highly interactive and provides a great opportunity for brainstorming. The more you engage, the more you will gain from the experience.
The one who asks the question is the one most likely to find an answer.
